Hi I have always had GSDs, and I know how intelligent and loyal they are. My 22-month-old female Selene has some quirky behaviours, but one in particular intrigues me. She sleeps with me, on me, near my face or on my legs and stomach, but she often sits up and drops on me, putting her nose as close to my face as possible. If I'm awake, it's okay, but I nearly hit the ceiling if she does it when I'm asleep. She gets plenty of exercise on and off lead, and I play ball with her every day, so I don't believe she is starved for affection. She is extremely affectionate. Whenever I go out in my 4x4, she has a comfortable bed on the passenger seat. Mostly, she enjoys resting her head in the fold of my arm, or with her nose in between my neck. She accepts that I have to leave her sometimes and when I return she just cuddles into me with her head on my chest. That is just Selene, but the dropping thing has me beat. If anyone has any ideas why this happens, or what it may mean, I would be grateful. I have never heard of a dog doing this
