Dogs have a very sensitive auditory senses and the noise of new years eve is not good for them. Any ideas how we can help our dog to survive with the heavy noise pollution on these kind of occasions?

Actually our dog now was hiding under the table because of the fireworks.
We just let him stay there since it was near with us. And also try comforting him by hugging him and telling it was just okay. ;)

We don't have fireworks here and there really is nothing else that would really bother him.. so my dog is definitely handling it fine. Just another day to him. He doesn't even realize it is new years or anything different about today lol

Wow! That was a cute one! I tried using ear muffs to my dog but he is really irritated using it. I just put him in my room this recent new years eve. Thanks for this cute photo Victor Leigh!

This is one event my yorky has been never fond of. Because of the loud noises and explosions made by fireworks, my pet yorky becomes very scared and tensed. She always shivers especially during the night when the firecrackers are at their loudest.

I think the same goes for the 4th of July, if that's celebrated where you live. I don't know what can be done to help an animal through these times besides just keeping them inside with the windows shut. Try to block out as much of the noise as you can.
