I think French Bulldogs have the cutest facial expressions ever. They often look like they were grinning:D . What do you think? These pictures made me laugh:D :

They certainly do have expressive facial expressions.
My favourite would have to be the third one. :)

Oh yes, the third one looks very happy. But the first one looks like a gremlin!:p I remember watching Gremlins as a kid - I thought they're so cute:p

What a smiling cute face! Lol
So nice to see those cute dogs smiling or grinning. I like the third photo among all.

Wow these are hilarious! I wonder how many facial muscles a dog actually has. I'm sure it's not as many as humans but obviously enough to make these incredible facial expressions.

Interesting point. It is so obvious what a dog may be feeling by it's facial expression. If the muscles are relaxed and the face is full of movement now that is a happy pooch and the one we love to see.:)

I enjoyed looking at these. Over the years we have gotten photos of our dogs that looked as if they were actually smiling. One in particular that I remember was of Buddy that my brother had as his wall paper on his previous laptop. He really looked like he was grinning ear to ear in this photo. Unfortunately that photo was lost when the laptop crashed about a year ago. Yes, my brother didn't back up his files at that time, he does now.

My grandparents had a Yorky who died about 8 years ago, but he used to smile when he was really happy and excited. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of him, but it was a bit like this!

I'm so sorry to hear he died, I'm sure your grandparents really miss him. Yorkies should live forever. Every dog should.

Here is a video of a smiling Yorkie, isn't it adorable?
