Does your dog have a coat? What kind of coat do they have? One of the ones with the legs or without? Do you feel bad when you have to walk your dog in the winter or when there is snow on the ground?

    Nope, not at all.

I do feel bad for my dog when he has to go out in the cold, but he has a backyard at his disposal so he just goes out, does his business, and immediately comes back in. We don't go for long walks during the cold.

We live in a tropical country so no snow nor winter here. Our dog could already protect himself from cold when it was rainy season here with his fur. He is also not comfortable wearing anything.

Homer has two, both without legs. He once had one with legs but he wasn't able to walk in it. Winters here are really harsh sometimes so I just have to protect him from cold even though it annoys him. He hates being dressed up:(

The climate where I live is not tropical like yours zararina and not harsh like yours Claudine and Homer's.
It's somewhere in between. Mishka has the luxury of having her very own coat she was born with to handle the summers and winters.
She did get her coat removed this summer.;)

I live in Phoenix, Arizona, so it seldom is ever snows. Its usually sunny outside, even in the cold of Winter. So, our dogs don't wear coats. Oso has a thick enough coat of hair to keep him warm. Buddy has a thinner coat but he has blankets, a dog house and is able to come inside at certain times of day. Both of them seem to be fairing up well this Winter.

My dogs have coats without the legs, just so they can be a little warmer but still move around freely. My dogs still demand walks and need the exercise and mental aspect of it even when it's snowing, but because the little one gets cold fast, we take them for shorter walks when it's really cold or snowy.
