Would you buy a very special dog bed for your dog? I wouldn't because my Homer is very happy with his enormous pillow, but I've found some interesting pictures:p

    For a boy:

What do you think? Does your dog need a very special bed?:p

    Nah, nothing like that.

    Although to be honest....

Our dog came with his own "throne" when we got him. I'll try to find pictures. It was a fancy foot rest or window sill seat or something that he used to sleep on all the time. Because he had been treated as such a king/prince/baby, we always joked that it was his throne. When he moved in with us, my cat de-throned him and took over his seat, hehe.

Those beds are cute although I doubt our dog would like that.
Our dog like to lay down on the floor or in the wooden bench since it is usually hot weather here.

As I said, my Homer loves sleeping on his pillow, but he always wants his pillow to be placed on a couch, so in fact he has a very, very big bed. Bigger than mine:p
Jessi, isn't your cat scared of your dog?:p

If I knew that Rafa would like it, I would totally buy him a nice little dog bed. He currently has two but I think he thinks they are toys because he spends most of his time trying to break it open and take the stuffing out. He's recently discovered that if he lays down in it, instead of attacking it, that he can sleep comfortably :p So he's taken a liking to one, but I would hate to buy him something adorable and (probably expensive) like those pictures and have him tear it to bits.

    Cats. :D
Mishka has her own couch but we are thinking of getting rid of it as it's starting to get a bit whiffy even though we change sheets on it regularly.

Those are some dog beds there Claudine. I think we will stick with maybe another small couch or throne that can be picked up quite cheaply for our Princess.

This reminds me of Peanuts. She grew loving this one couch that I was hoping that she wouldn't miss it when I decided to give it back to the original owner, my brother... It was smelling pretty bad because the mice were living in it and Peanuts has decided to leave the mice catching duties to the cats... which we didn't have.

Anyway, the day the couch left, she just stood there on the area where the couch used to be and sniffed on the floor trying to track it down. It was a hilarious yet pitiful view. The next couple of days, she just laid on that area as if doing so will bring the couch back...it was heartbreaking.

I may have to take precautions when swapping. I don't want no dog of mine locking themselves onto a couch in a protest.
My wife is a little more ruthless then I and would have no problem dragging it outside and saying here you are where do you want it.
That's always been a challenge where to put something before it can be taken away.
Maybe I'll lock on with Mishka and say the couch is not going anywhere.:D

If my Homer loved his couch so much, I wouldn't let anyone take it. I'd fight for it. It's just a furniture but it makes him feel safe and happy:D
Oh, and today Homer was sleeping on the table again...I forgot that I shouldn't leave any pillows on it because he will see them as an invitation to lie down there:eek:

Wow, some of these are really elaborate. Not sure I would buy one of these for my dogs to be perfectly honest. I'm not oppose to the kind you see more commonly advertised in the stores. But at the same token I wonder how you go about cleaning one of these. We use to have dog who would sleep in one of our living room chairs at night,he has his own blanket and seem very happy sleeping there.

Each of our dogs had a seperate dog bed. There were more traditional looking and not as creative as some of the designs the Claudine posted. I'll admit I love the taxi cab dog bed, it's really cute. :)

Is it bad that every time I scroll through this thread, I think "I want one like that...." I think it would be really comfy to curl up in the middle of that, with my head propped up on the side like a pillow.

These are the days that you'd wish that they could understand you.

After seeing the effect of that couch, I took the two remaining seats that had the couch's fabric, and placed it in that area. She really loved that new couch until... once again, I took it away because of the mice who loved living in it.

I moved it in an area we rarely go to in the house and I would often catch her there. You'd think that she'd get over the couch, but Peanuts wasn't able to forget it.

Maybe your wife might drag both of you guys out if that were the case.
