Yeast in skin

    Hi! My 10 year old Shih Tzu has developed what the vet says is yeast infection on his skin. I’ve been treating it holistically for a year before going to the vet. NOTHING has worked, even the apoquel he’s taking! We’re desperate! We’ve changed his good dozens of times, tried shampoos, natural drops for skin allergies, pre and probiotics. Any suggestions?

    Welcome to the forum! Sorry to hear about the fungal infection, which holistic treatments have you tried? Does he have any sugar or simple carbs in his diet? If so it might be worth trying to cut them out - they can feed the fungal infection.
