I'm not even a big pug fan, but that's too cute....even if it's spelled wrong. :p

That was cute! ;) Yeah the spelling does not matter on the cuteness of that photo. LOL

Pugs are absolutely cuddly. I had the chance of holding one once. It's skin is unlike that of other dogs. So soft and I just couldn't help squeezing it.

:D I re-posted that wiggly tailed pug in my Facebook. I also love that mother and pup pug as if they’re really talking about serious matter. How are pugs related to bulldogs?

The Pug is an ancient breed. It's has been speculated to be one of the ancestors of the English Bulldog. More information here:

Here are some of the characteristics of a Pug:

I think it’s only in the 90’s where pugs become popular (Frank the Pug of Men in Black) as well as the other exotic breed. From the moment when I’m young up to the time I finished secondary school, there’s only those big dogs that I see on T.V. and read on the news maybe because more and more people are getting involved and are fascinated by these little cute dogs. They discover that they are not all about cuteness but also have chivalry and talent.

My vet friend told me that there's something about the Pug's face which makes it difficult to breath properly. I did have a close look at some Pugs and they do seem to be snorting more than breathing, or you can say, snoring with eyes wide open. Has anyone with a Pug found the same thing?

Yep, it's a common, known problem. They have constricted windpipes and their flat faces make it harder to breathe. Here's a bit more:

Pugs are the only dog with a flat face, right? I think that's what separates their cuteness from the rest. :p

    Hehe!

Bulldogs also have a flat/scrunched face, too, and deal with a lot of the same breathing issues.

Keep in mind, guys, that this means dogs with those sorts of breathing issues should -not- live outdoors. Take them out for their walks and whatnot, but they should live indoors where the temperatures and humidity are kept a little more steady.
