Sage's story

I found this last night and I knew I had to share it with all you. I am glad those around sage did appreciate her service and efforts, unlike many army dogs (I've heard) that were abandoned in Iraq. I'm glad her fate was different.

 

What a remarkable dog. Love that her owner started that foundation. Great cause! My son was deployed in Iraq (Army). So thankful for dogs like Sage.

I'm so glad they decided to do this I had read about so many dogs being abandoned there in Iraq. I felt so sad and angry at those people for being so ungrateful to those amazing dog who were serving their country. Thanks for sharing

 

I hate that people make dogs serve their country. It's unbelievably cruel and selfish I'm glad they didn't abandon her, but I think she would be much happier if she could just stay at home instead of going to Iraq.

 

This is a tear jerking story for me! I am glad those that knew her treated her well and gave her what she deserved. Rest in peace Sage!

 

What a story. I have my opinions on wars etc but one thing I am happy about is that something good for dogs came of his dying. I just wish people were kinder to dogs whoever and whenever. They serve us all.

 

This is a very sad story, am in tears.
