This is my little buddy, my husky Arthas :) He is almost three years old.

What big eyes you have Arthas. He looks like a lovely pal. Is that snow on him?

It is! The one time it's snowed in Las Vegas in the last few years :)

His eyes are even paler now, almost white. His father had the typical, one dark blue one dark brown, husky eye style and the same fur as he does. His mother had pure white fur and pure white eyes- really freaky looking- but she was a full bred husky. All of his litter was snowy white except for him and a brown and white female.

That's a lovely dog. I was told that looking after a Husky is quite a job. Is Arthas very active?

Yes, he is. Huskies like to run and they like to dig. We've had to reinforce our fence twice to stop him from digging under it and wiggling out. He will take off running laps around the house if he doesn't get enough exercise. Feeding him can also be a chore because he will bite if anyone comes close, so I have to stand there and make sure my 2 year old doesn't wander in and get attacked (I think I posted another thread on this. We're working on it). He kind of reminds me of a dalmation in that he is ALWAYS Playful, never outgrows the puppy happy fun attitude :)

What a gorgeous dog! I love those eyes. I could get lost in them. Eyes are the portals to the soul. Although I wouldn't change a thing about my boys, I have always wondered what they would look like with such captivating eyes. Please that mystic name, Arthas fits him well.

Ah yes, that reminds me of something I have read about Huskies being great escape artistes. They seem to be perpetually curious about what's on the other side of the fence. If they can't jump over the fence, they will dig under it.

Thanks for sharing your photo of Arthas. I know it's already been said but he does have stunning eyes. Nice to read that Arthas retained his puppy dog personality too, how cute. :)

Wriggle through gates...slip out the second your back is turned...etc :)

LOTS of walks really helps. If he gets the exercise and stimulation he doesn't constantly seek it out himself.

He is a pretty dog, love those sky blue eyes and it's cute the way he is just staring right up at the camera, like he was ready to have his picture taken. Huskies are such beautiful dogs.
