Do you guys know Mr. Winkle? Mr. Winkle was a stray that was adopted. His exact breed is unknown. Whatever he is he is darn cute!

He looks like a mix between a Pomeranian and a bear cub to me. Some people don't think he is really a dog.

His owners have built a whole media empire around him. They started with silly photographs. Now he's in books, calendars, and all kinds of merchandise. He even got to meet Betty White!

See for yourself. What type of dog is he?

Some of the funniest photos are on the front of the old calendars (scroll down):

Also, the book covers give you an idea of how goofy this dog is:

This is one of the silly photos the photographer came up with:

He looks cute and lucky to have such popularity and care.

I would say Mr Winkle is a Poodle-Shih Tzu mix. The eyes look like a Shih Tzu and the hair is a bit frizzy like a Poodle. Interesting to know that, with the right marketing techniques, a lot of money can be made out of just a stray. Here's another stray that made it big:

He looks to be a Pomeranian if you as me. But I can't be sure. It just goes to prove that strays and 'unwanted' dogs can be just as awesome as dogs bred specifically for you.
