As for his hair, I tried to brush it, but it still looks messy I think he needs a bath.

 

I was saying the same thing. My Ginger is a wilder version with shorter hair. She fast asleep as I type.

Your Homer looks mischievous and I'm sure you are having a good time there with him. I can imagine when you come home, that cute little guy would be rushing at you and probably hinting to be carried. Am I right on that? Small dogs have that trait of wanting to be carried or caressed. I also have 2 small dogs, a pug and a pekingese but the white pekingese is the most affectionate and the pug is the most mischievous.

Actually, Homer hates being carried, he absolutely hates it. I think it makes him feel small and he really wants to be big, dangerous and feared, haha. The happiest day in his life was when he managed to scare a cat. Most cats just ignore him
