I never planned on relying so much on my dog, but during my worst days with depression, he became the one constant that kept me grounded. Even when I didn’t feel like talking to anyone, just having him around made things feel a little less overwhelming.

Things got stressful when I had to move into a place with a no-pet policy. The idea of losing him made everything worse, so I started looking into ESA letters.

After some research, I went with My ESA Therapist. The process included speaking with a licensed mental health professional who actually took time to understand how my dog helps me cope.

Once I got my ESA letter, I shared it with my landlord. Thankfully, it was accepted, and I was able to keep my dog with me.

He’s not a cure for depression, but he gives me a reason to get up, a sense of routine, and comfort when I need it most.

If you have a dog that helps you emotionally, it might be worth looking into. Has anyone else gone through something similar?
