This was an exciting thread. ;)
Below are some trivia about dogs that I had searched online.

Puppies are born both deaf and blind.Their eyes begin to open between 10 and 14 days. They begin to hear soon after but it takes a while longer before they have complete sight and hearing.

The Greek writer Homer is considered the first person to write about dogs.Dogs are mentioned frequently in the Odyssey.

Nice trivia zararina! I took care of my puppies ever since they were born, and I was surprised because they had no ear holes and that's the only time I knew that it was normal for very young puppies. They develop it as they become older. :) Oh I miss the days when they were really young, now they're so stubborn but I love them just the same. :D

The most money paid to buy a dog was 1.5 million usd. The dog is Hong Dong, a Tibetan Mastiff. If it has 1.5 million hairs each hair would be worth 1 usd. Have a look yourself:

Think Hong Dong has 1.5 million hairs?

Here are some more I had found online. :p

An estimated 1 million dogs in the United States have been named the primary beneficiary in their owner's will.

Every known dog except the chow has a pink tongue - the chow's tongue is jet black.

Like people, dogs are either left or right-handed.Make that left or right-pawed.

The (said to be) world's cutest dog and the most popular dog in Facebook is Boo. At present he has 2.5 million followers (and I’m one of them). He’s so cute you’ll mistake him for a stuff toy. :p

The Call of the Wild by Jack London (published in 1903) is said to be the best dog story ever written. It gave Jack London an everlasting fame.

I found this fact on the internet and it made me chuckle: Basenjis are considered a barkless breed. They do, however, yodel :D

Here's a vid to prove it:

I think I will pass on this one. A lusty bark sounds better than that. Of course, to their owner it probably sounded like music.

Did you know that a puppies in a single litter can have different fathers? A female dog is fertile for several days to a week and can mate successfully with more than one male dog.

Now that explains why one time Shakira gave birth to one really different pup amongst her four litters. This one is really short with different face and fur. I guess the father is this mongrel in the neighborhood that scored with her a day after Shakira mate with her Labrador boyfriend. :D

The University of Georgia football team’s mascots are real English Bulldogs known as UGA. These English Bulldogs are owned by Frank W. “Sonny” Seiler, which have served as the mascot of the University of Georgia (UGA) since 1956.

    Genealogy of Uga namesakes

Uga I ("Hood's Ole Dan", 1956–1966) – the original, a grandson of a bulldog that accompanied the Georgia football team to its Rose Bowl victory and national championship in 1942. One SEC football title (1959).
Uga II ("Ole Dan's Uga", 1966–1972) – two Southeastern Conference (SEC) football titles (1966 and 1968) and one national title (1968 Litkenhaus poll).
Uga III ("Seiler's Uga Three", 1972–1981) – presided over Georgia's second consensus national championship season in 1980 and two SEC championships (1976 and 1980).
Uga IV ("Uga III's Magillicuddy/Seiler's Uga Four", 1981–1990) – was the first live mascot ever invited to a Heisman trophy presentation in 1982 when, while wearing a tux, Uga IV accompanied Herschel Walker to the Downtown Athletic Club; two SEC championships (1981 and 1982).
Uga V ("Uga IV's Magillicuddy II", 1990–1999) – portrayed his father, Uga IV, in the motion picture Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil and was on the cover of Sports Illustrated in 1997;[13] propelled to the national spotlight when he lunged at an Auburn wide receiver, Robert Baker, during a game in 1996.
Uga VI ("Uga V's Whatchagot Loran", 1999–2008) – two SEC championships (2002 and 2005), two Sugar Bowl victories (2003 and 2008), and more than 20 victories over ranked opponents, more than any Uga before him. Uga VI was also larger than any of his predecessors, weighing in at 65 pounds. Uga VI has the best winning percentage and most wins overall of any Uga.
Uga VII ("Uga VI's Loran's Best", 2008–2009)[14] – his tenure ended abruptly, near the end of his second season, when he died of heart failure on November 19, 2009.
Uga VIII ("Big Bad Bruce", 2010–2011)[10] – introduced at the Oct. 16, 2010, homecoming game against Vanderbilt.[15] On January 7, 2011, UGA officials announced that Uga VIII had been diagnosed with canine lymphoma,[11] which led to his death on February 4.[12]

    Records for each mascot
    Dog W L T Pct
    Uga I 53 48 6 .523
    Uga II 42 16 3 .713
    Uga III 71 32 2 .684
    Uga IV 77 24 4 .731
    Uga V 65 39 1 .624
    Uga VI 87 27 0 .763
    Uga VII 16 7 0 .696
    Uga VIII 4 2 0 .667

After UGA VIII’s death, Russ (UGA VII's half-brother) served in Uga's stead at bowl game.

I think I could say that I know about it already.
It is because my female dogs before would have obvious proofs for that just like having so different puppies. :p

Most domestic dogs are capable of reaching speeds of 32 km's per hour when running flat out but the members of the greyhound family may reach speeds up to 70 km's per hour.:D
