Here are some dog related quotes I'd like to share.

" A dog teaches a boy fidelity, perseverance and to turn around three times before lying down." - Robert Benchley

"If dogs could talk, it would take a lot of the fun out of owning one." - Andy Rooney

"If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog"- Harry Truman

"Revenge is often like biting a dog because the dog bit you."- Austin O'Malley

"If there are no dogs in heaven, then when I die I want to go where they went"- Unknown

"Ever consider what a dog must thing of us? I mean, here we come back from a grocery store with the most amazint haul- chicken, pork, half a cow. They must think we're the greatest hunters on earth." -Anne Tyler

"A dog is like an eternal Peter Pan, a child who never grows old and who therefore is always available to love and be loved." Aaron Katcher

Last and my personal favorite, "You can say any foolish thing to a dog and the dog will give you a look that says, "My God, you're right! I never would've thought of that!" - Dave Barry.

    Care to share some more?

"He is my other eyes that can see above the clouds; my other ears that hear above the winds. He is the part of me that can reach out into the sea. He has told me a thousand times over that I am his reason for being; by the way he rests against my leg; by the way he thumps his tail at my smallest smile; by the way he shows his hurt when I leave without taking him. (I think it makes him sick with worry when he is not along to care for me.) When I am wrong, he is delighted to forgive. When I am angry, he clowns to make me smile. When I am happy, he is joy unbounded. When I am a fool, he ignores it. When I succeed, he brags. Without him, I am only another man. With him, I am all-powerful. He is loyalty itself. He has taught me the meaning of devotion. With him, I know a secret comfort and a private peace. He has brought me understanding where before I was ignorant. His head on my knee can heal my human hurts. His presence by my side is protection against my fears of dark and unknown things. He has promised to wait for me... whenever... wherever - in case I need him. And I expect I will - as I always have. He is just my dog."

    When your children are
    teenagers, it’s important to have
a dog — so that someone in the
house is happy to see you.

It's so true! Teenagers hate everybody, but dogs are always happy to see you!

    I like this one:

“The universe contains any amount of horrible ways to be woken up, such as the noise of the mob breaking down the front door, the scream of fire engines, or the realization that today is the Monday which on Friday night was a comfortably long way off.

A dog's wet nose is not strictly speaking the worst of the bunch, but it has it's own peculiar dreadfulness which connoisseurs of the ghastly and dog owners everywhere have come to know and dread. It's like having a small piece of defrosting liver pressed lovingly against you.”
    Terry Pratchett, Moving Pictures

:D Yes! And sometimes, we love to see our dogs first because they are so affectionate they will welcome you with a hug and a kiss and act as if they can't get enough of you making you feel so special while the other member of the household would just simply acknowledge your presence when you arrive.

The odd part is not that our dogs are always happy to see us. Sometimes, even when we have been away for only a couple of hours, our dogs welcome us like we have been away for years. I sometimes wonder why our dogs do that.

Whoever said that you can buy a dog's love with some food, haven't really had a dog either.

I'm not a big fan of I.Kant because I had to spend soooo much time reading his not-so-exciting books but I really like this quote, I find it very true:

I strongly believe that only a monster would be able to hurt a dog.

I couldn't agree more. I find myself always including Mishka in daily routines such as saying goodnight to my wife and then a goodnight to Mishi. I can't though bring myself to that kiss but I'm sure there are others who do. :)

I wouldn't kiss Homer either...my mother once tried and he bit her nose:eek::eek: . He did it very delicately though, he didn't hurt her.
I always check if he is okay before going to sleep.

Here is a perfect quote, as an owner of a very small dog I completely agree:

If Dogs run free then why not we. across the sands of time. ( That last bit is my addition) My wife promised to put it on my tombstone.:(
