A woman who decided to pursue a law degree credits her guide dog with getting her through school. Her dog is a beautiful Black Lab named Ellis.

The university was accommodating. They made sure there was room for the dog in the classroom. They helped the woman arrange her class schedule so that the dog's needs could be met.

I like hearing stories like this. Service dogs can make a huge impact on a disabled person's life. It could be the difference between independence and isolation.

I read a book called A Dog Named Slugger about a woman with cerebral palsy and her service dog. People were not always sympathetic to the fact that she needed a service dog. In fact, some employers were downright hostile. People don't always understand the necessity of a service dog or they are unwilling to make things easier for the person who needs one.

    Here is the story:

It was a great story and s true that it is always nice to read/hear stories like that.
Dogs are definitely man's nest friend and we should also give the love and care they deserve. ;)

That's just down right awful. People either undermine other's capacity simply because they are disabled.

Speaking of graduation, would you believe a dog received its diploma as a college graduate recently. An adorable basset hound graduated because he joined an online school. After passing the exam, he was finally able to graduate from college. Sound hilarious right?

Here's a story about the Pug who graduated. Vermont Dog Earns College Degree

And here's the link of animals who have graduated college... one way or the other. HERE
