Dog appeasing pheromones are meant to calm a dog when he is experiencing stress or anxiety. The idea is that since a mother dog secretes pheromones to calm her pups, the same pheromones can help calm grown dogs. There are many products that imitate the pheromones secreted by a mother dog. Have you tried any such products? If so, what was the result?

I've read of this before. One of the products I've read about is called Adaptil. It uses the same mother pheromones to calm pups down.

A number of reviewers mentioned that it did work for them. However, I've never personally tried it before so I can't vouch for its effectiveness.
