I've been taking my Pomeranian to the same groomer for six years and I've always had him shaved down to a puppy cut. He looks cute and he's a lot cooler all year in Florida. However, we moved to New England and I took him to a new groomer. Obviously I don't want him shaved because of the cold weather, but the groomer made a comment that it's not a good to shave the dog even in the summer. She said the more I shave him the thicker his coat grows and eventually his coat may not grow back. Is this true? My other groomer hasn't said anything for 6 years :( Anyone else hear of this??
