Cutting Black Nails

    My oldest Yorkie Coco has black nails and they need to be but but I can't see the vein. Any rule of thumb or tips on how to clip a dogs nails when they are black and the vein is not clearly visible? Any comment or suggestion would be appreciated.

    I wish I could demonstrate it to you. It's a lot more difficult to explain. Fortunately, this video sums it all up.



    Hopefully, your dog isn't as fidgety as mine. But if he/she is, you might want to consider preparing lots of treats so he/she starts to associate nail clipping with reward
