I bought my dog's trimming system last year. It seems as though the blade is already dull. It will not cut her hair for anything! My question is; is there a way to sharpen the blade or do I need to buy a new one? I already called the pet store and they said they don't even sell the blades there, so I would need to send it in to the company.

    Well that's annoying.

What kind of kit is it? You might be able to remove the blade and sharpen it on a whetstone like you would other blades.

A knife speciality shop or a key cutting shop/boot repairer may provide sharpening services. I know in the case of the last one I had a pair of scissors sharpened in my home town.
I checked out eBay and there were no shortages of clippers and blades available.
    Good luck.
